Running has changed my attitude towards fitness

RUNNING is fountain of youth. Hitting the roads improves health and well-being. I started running about 4 years ago to lose weight and stay fit, originally starting in the gym on a treadmill. I lost a significant amount of weight through exercise and diet. I was getting tired of the elliptical trainer as my cardio workout, so I tried jogging on the treadmill in the gym and then progressed to running outdoors.

Running has taught me I am capable of more than I ever thought possible. I did not think I could run non-stop for 15 minutes, let alone almost five hours. It has given me a new attitude towards my fitness. People who run more than 35 miles a week are 54 percent less likely to suffer age-related vision loss than those who cover 10 miles a week.

Men who burn at least 3,000 calories per week is equal to about five hours of running. Running strengthens bones better than other aerobic activities. Studies has shown how running helps you in thinking fast and stay sharp.

RUN TO LIVE LONGER

A review of 22 studies found that people who work out 2.5 hours a week are 19 percent less likely to die prematurely than those who don't exercise. A separate study found that active people have a 50 percent lower risk of premature death.

Meet ur Author @TaurusKuldeep Warming Up

Pay penalty or do Warm up. I have paid the price of not warming up before the workout. Warm up before workout is equals to turning on Power to your muscles. Warm up your body for 5 minutes before starting the exercise, either through a light jog, skipping, cycling, or remember your school days when you used to do PT. Warming up your body before your workout keeps you injury-free.

When your body is appropriately warmed up, your muscles and joints are equipped for maximum elasticity, which means you can perform each exercise with proper form that maximize outcomes and minimize risk of damage.

When you plan your Workout Schedule, make sure to wait for next 48 hours before you work on the same muscle. Your muscles entail time to improve and reparation themselves after a workout. Take a day off from your Weekly Training.

Working out @ GYM gives you Edge

Second day it’s a new start new day. Today I will begin this journey.

I am an IT Engineer who sits in front of the computer for about 12 hours a day, but that does not stop me going to gym or find some time to work on my muscles. Unlike other people I was also worried about shutting the extra kilos off.
Finally I have made it to the GYM, yes I have been thinking of joining one from ages. Lot of people talk about working out at home also gives you results, I agree with these people, but at the end you look for perfection the extra bit or the edge that you strive for…and GYM is where you get the edge from.
You can’t buy such huge machines or convert your home into a gym and more importantly you will end up exercising after few days as you would not find any partner who can help you with the weights.

Joining a gym or finding one is just not an easy task, but to make it simple, First visit a gym nearby and ask them to let you work out for a day, this will help you understanding the weights and the trainer.
There are some important factors you must look into before you join a GYM:
Location: Will you actually have time to get to the gym, or will it cut into the time you normally spend exercising? The location of the gym is extremely important, try to find a place close to your home or workplace.
Equipment: Don't just look for the gym to have the equipment, look for them to have enough for everyone, so you don't have to wait for a treadmill to open up before you start your run.
Environment: Make sure the gym is clean. If it’s a dump then you may not be too thrilled to work out there. Also check if there bathrooms are clean and well-stocked.
Atmosphere: Pay attention to how the gym feels. Make sure there are no waiting lines for any machines; check the workout space for people to do their workouts. If you're there for serious exercise and it feels like a dance club, you may not be as motivated to work out there.

Joining a gym is a big commitment, make sure you have all the information you need to make a good decision. A gym can offer so much for almost every type of exerciser... but only if you show up.
